BUSY BUSY BUSY

Sorry i haven't had a chance to update the blog lately. I've just been so packed and busy. Football season has consumed my life and has not allowed anything else. However, I am still able to squeeze in a few moments to check up on What's Good in the world. If you all don't know, my brother has been able to make me good acquaintances with the people from Blends and Franco Shade clothing.

I just got 2 new shirts from the Franco Shade Fall 2008 line. And i must say, I am very pleased with the direction the brand is going. The quality they use for the shirts have now upgraded, to softer American Apparel shirts. The printing is better than previous lines and the design is getting more and more diverse and creative.
I would totally recommend that if you are new to the brand, that you purchase either one of these products and you will be swayed.

Breaking News: Colette, Paris Open.

Recently, one of the most popular boutiques in the Parisian fashion scene went under some remodeling. With Wonderwall as the head design firm, I expected something along the lines of A Bathing Ape-esque modern, clean, lots of glass and futuristic type of store. Guess What? I was right. (Wonderwall is responsible for Bape Store Interiors) The Colette Store looks amazing and even has a cafe! Great clothes, great food, and definitely a spot to meet that chic hip Parisian girl you've been looking for.

FRANCO SHADE is one of those brands that started out as an idea in a garage and has expanded into one of the recognizable labels in the urban streetwear world. With artwork by Arlo Eisenberg, Franco Shade's clothing seems to get better and better and it is certainly a brand to look out for.

2008 Spring Footwear: Gourmet

One of the brands i have had my eye on for a while is an Italian-based street wear company called Gourmet. All the founders of the brand have Italian heritage as well as experience in street wear. Their footwear is what really caught my attention however with they re-make of jordan sneakers but with canvas material and monotone bright colors. This season they are using bright colors such as: basil, Amethyst, Eggshell, Interblue, and Scarlet. The new shoes named: Santo and Diablo are modeled after the Jordan XII and the Jordan XIII. Gourmet's launched last year had different mixed opinions but was overall successful. The line seems to be growing and I will continue to follow their future collections.

Stussy X Andrew Pommier

Stussy will be working with many artist for this season's line and one of them is canadian, Andrew Pommier. Andrew uses unique cartoon-ish graphics that look clean and very fashionable. Stussy will limited the production of these shirts to 100 pieces and will be released soon.

BAPE

BAPE has finally updated their official website and it is now up and fully functional.

www.bape.com

In addition, BAPE will be releasing their 15th anniversary t-shirts which resembles their 9th anniversary shirts but just with different numbers (of course). The cool thing about these shirts is that it comes with a camo tin container that matches the camo used in the "15" on the shirt. This is truly a collectible. Available at cliffedge.co.jp

Stussy, LV

I recently embarked on a journey to visit the newly-opened Stussy store in Las Vegas. The store has an impressive extensive collection of shirts, hats, shorts, polos, dress shirts, and almost anything you can think of. One of the must buy pieces in the store is the Fruiton x Stussy x Undefeated shirts for $28, i'd say get one of every color.

Creased Jeans

It seems that the look of creased jeans are slowly entering the designs of the new and hip Swedish brand Acne. You can get them at Colette in Paris or you can wait a little bit longer for the Acne store to open up in Soho for $350.
